Vanadium-doped small silicon clusters: Photoelectron spectroscopy and density-functional calculations

V2Si6- has D3d symmetry, with the six Si atoms forming a six-membered ring in the chair conformation, similar to cyclohexane; the two vanadium atoms are bound to each other through a δ bond.
