Local-field correction for intra-4f-configurational transitions of rare earth ions embedded in amorphous chalcogenide solids

The local-field correction factor based on the real-cavity model well accommodates the observed changes of the 4f↔4f oscillator strengths of Dy3+ embedded in chalcogenide glasses.
