Tracing carbon nanotube evolution from immature tubules

Immature carbon nanotubes are generated under un-optimized conditions and are viewed as intermediate objects, recording rich and convincible traces about evolution of carbon nanotubes. The traces clearly indicate that the nanotube formation follows the particle-wire-tube stepwise evolution mechanism.
