Revised steady-state fluorescence spectrum and nature of the reactive S1 state of cis-stilbene in solution

We obtained the steady-state fluorescence spectrum of cis-stilbene in solution. The oscillator strength evaluated indicates that the reactive S1 state is a bright state.
