IR-photodissociation and photodetachment spectroscopy of Cl− · (NH3)x (IR: x = 1-4, PD: x = 1)

The shift of ν(sym.stretch) of chloride-ammonia clusters fits an exponential curve converging to −118 cm−1. That of condensed ammonia is between 100 and 40 cm−1.
