(2Â +Â n) REMPI of acetylene: Gerade Rydberg states and photorupture channels

Ion mass analysis in REMPI as a function of laser excitation and power combined with DFT/STQN calculations reveal a threshold for photodissociation of acetylene, following two photon excitation to gerade Rydberg states, near 76 000 cm−1.
