Control for oriented growth of large size KCl crystals by the competition between spontaneous and induced nucleation/growth on a Langmuir-Blodgett film

The orientation of the KCl crystals could be controlled by the competition between the solution-formed crystallites (S) and the induced (I) nucleation interaction on the Langmuir-Blodgett films.
