On the move of strongly chemisorbed species on metals: The example of O diffusion on Pd(1Â 1Â 1) surface

Oxygen diffusion on Pd(1 1 1) surface yields strong very large surface restructuring. The surface atoms bound to the O atom follow it during the migration.
