A kinetic, morphological and mechanistic approach of the fluorination of multiwall carbon nanotubes

A mechanistic approach of the fluorination process of multiwall carbon nanotubes is proposed, in order to account for the structural differences observed between fluorotubes issuing from CVD-grown or arc-discharge grown precursors.
