Structures of C2S4- molecular anion: Photoelectron spectroscopy and theoretical calculations

Among several covalently-bonded isomeric forms of C2S4- hitherto proposed, the cyclic C2v isomer is identified as the spectral carrier of as-yet-unassigned (CS2)2- photoelectron band. A trail of evidence for C2S4(1A1)←C2S4-(2B1) transition is left as a vibrational progression newly observed in the photoelectron measurment.
