Alteration of crystal structure of bismuth confined in cylindrical nanopores

The XRD patterns of as-deposited (top left) and recrystallized (top right) nanorods indicate a crystal orientation alteration induced by different crystallization mechanisms. The cooling thermogram (bottom) shows that the overall crystallization during thermal recrystallization is predominated by nucleation.
