A DFT investigation of structure and spectroscopic properties of pyrazolo[4,3-e][1,2,4]triazine natural products

DFT calculations on preferred geometries, 13C NMR chemical shifts, and absorption spectra provide useful clues to solve the controversial issue of the molecular structure of a set of natural antibiotic pigments.
