Fluorescence lifetime image of a single halobacterium

Fluorescence lifetime imaging has been reported for halobacteria loaded with fluorescent dye BCECF. The histograms of the fluorescence lifetime for BCECF-loaded halobacteria with exhibiting long and short fluorescence lifetimes and for the whole halobacteria in the image are shown by solid, dotted, and chain lines, respectively.
