Effects of p- and d-block metal co-substitution on the electronic structure and physicochemical properties of InMO4 (MÂ =Â Nb and Ta) semiconductors

The co-substitution of SnIV and NiII ions into In(Nb, Ta)O4 semiconductors gives rise to a red-shift of absorption edge and to an appearance of satellite peak below the absorption edge, which results in the improvement of photocatalytic activity of these materials.
