The monocyclic water hexamer detected in neon matrices by infrared spectroscopy

The infrared absorption spectra of water clusters have been observed in neon matrices. We have detected an absorption peak due to the monocyclic water hexamer in the bonded OH stretching region at 3329 cm−1.
