Electronic structure of the Au/benzene-1,4-dithiol/Au transport interface: Effects of chemical bonding

Partial C 2p density of states (DOS) for the carbon site C2 in the Au/benzene-1,4-dithiol/Au molecular contact. The DOS almost vanishes in the vicinity of the Fermi energy.
