Glucose sensing based on NIR fluorescence of DNA-wrapped single-walled carbon nanotubes

A new approach for the immobilization of glucose oxidase (GOX) on DNA-wrapped carbon nanotubes with keeping enzyme activity is suggested. GOX adsorbed on the nanotube frame retains its native globular structure (see AFM image). NIR fluorescence of nanotubes provides a small concentration of glucose (1 mM) detection.
