Cleaning of carbon nanotubes near the π-plasmon resonance

The elimination of carbon impurities and defects in as-produced carbon single-walled nanotubes by employing a 248 nm excimer laser treatment is shown by a reduced full-width-at-half-maximum of the Raman D-band up to 755 mW/cm2, and a decrease in the intensity of the D-band to the G-band.
