A new geometric-topological method to measure protein fold similarity

We propose a novel hybrid representation of a protein structure. Based on the representation and information theory, we introduce a new protein structure comparison method. Cluster analysis and structure classification experiments based on this method on several data sets demonstrate its effectiveness on measuring protein fold similarity.
