Deposition of thin films of a transition metal complex by spin coating

Spin coating is demonstrated to be a promising technique for depositing magnetically active transition metal complexes. The thin films show nano-crystalline formations with random orientations. The optical properties determined using spectroscopic ellipsometry compare well to those of single molecules in solution.
