Contact angle determined by spontaneous dynamic capillary rises with hydrostatic effects: Experiment and theory

Curve (a) shows the experimental data. Curves (b) and (c) show the results obtained from our developed theory and Lucas-Washburn equation, in which the same parameters deduced from the data in curve (a) were adopted, respectively. Excellent agreement between our theory and experiment shows the validity of the proposed method.
