Diameter dependence of low-energy electron and photon irradiation damage in single-walled carbon nanotubes

The figure shows Raman spectra of SWNTs before and after VUV light irradiation in an ultra-high vacuum and after annealing. The irradiation decreased the Raman intensity due to low-energy irradiation damage. The SWNTs with the largest diameter show the highest tolerance against the damage. The damaged SWNTs can mostly recover by annealing.
