Femtosecond CARS on molecules exhibiting ring puckering vibration in gas and liquid phase

Ultrafast dynamics of molecules showing ring puckering vibrations are studied using time resolved femtosecond CARS spectroscopy in the high frequency Raman region. Investigations performed in gas and liquid phase yield coherence life times and beating structures, which are compared to the spontaneous Raman spectra.
