On the variations of electronic chemical potential and chemical hardness induced by solvent effects

The variation patterns of the chemical reactivity indices upon solvation are discussed in detail. We propose here a simple explanation based on continuum and supermolecule models of solvent effects that seem to us gives a conceptual explanation based on solute-solvent charge transfer processes.
