An experimental study on electronic excited states of O2-

Collision induced dissociation of O2- with Ar is studied. The O− energy distribution for O− fragment is used to get an effective repulsive potential energy state of O2-. The deduced repulsive state appears close to the computed 2Πu of O2- and is attributed to be a better representation of it.
