The interfacial chemistry and energy level structure of a liquid crystalline perylene derivative on Au(1Â 1Â 1) and graphite surfaces

Albeit similar monolayer structures observed on Au(1 1 1) and HOPG only PTCDI-C13 on Au(1 1 1) exhibits the formation of an interface state.
