Fluctuating reaction rate and non-exponential blinking statistics in single-enzyme kinetics

To explain the blinking statistics for single β-galactosidase molecules we present a more general diffusion-controlled reaction model in line with Michaelis-Menten enzymatic kinetic scheme.
