Inter-layer proton transfer with a heterogeneous reaction on ice surface

The reaction dynamics of a heterogeneous reaction between HCl and ClONO2 on an ice surface has been investigated by Car-Parrinello molecular dynamics simulations. The heterogeneous reactions on ice surface are closely related with the mobility of proton through the hydrogen bond network between layers.
