Determination of the modified 'affinity index' of small ligands and macromolecular receptors from NMR spin-lattice relaxation data

The calculation of the affinity index from nuclear spin relaxation data, constitutes a useful approach to evaluate the strength of all specific and non-specific binding phenomena occurring at protein-solvent interface. In this Letter we studied the interaction between sinapic acid and bovine serum albumin (BSA) taken as a model for bioactive ligand-macromolecular target systems.
