The barrier origin on the reaction of CO2 + OH− in aqueous solution

The solvation structure and free energy are discussed on a ubiquitous reaction, CO2+OH-→HCO3- in aqueous solution, from the view points of atomic and spatial contribution in the vicinity of the solute molecule.
