Quantum tunneling of magnetization via well-defined Dy-Cu exchange coupling in a ferrimagnetic high-spin [Dy4Cu] single-molecule magnet

A centrosymmetric rectangular complex [Dy4Cu] was prepared and characterized as a single-molecule magnet from the magnetization curves showing hysteresis behavior with magnetization steps. The exchange coupling between the Dy and Cu ions was determined to be −0.64 K.
