A flow tube study of methyl iodine uptake on soot surface

By using a coated wall flow tube combined with a differentially pumped time-of-flight mass spectrometer, we investigated the interaction of CH3I with soot under various conditions. The results demonstrated that heterogeneous loss of CH3I on soot may influence the concentration of CH3I throughout the atmosphere.
