Laser ablation of yttrium-containing oxides in various ambient gases studied by time-resolved emission spectroscopy

Temporal emission profiles of YO generated from laser-ablated YAG crystal in various atmospheres (O2, CO2, He, and N2). Similar profiles have been observed for O2 and CO2 atmospheres, while quite different profiles have been observed for non-oxide atmospheres (He and N2).
