The interplay between the solid effect and the cross effect mechanisms in solid state 13C DNP at 95Â GHz using trityl radicals

► 13C solid state DNP experiments were conducted using trityl (OX63) radicals. ► A maximum DNP enhancement was reached around 20-40 K. ► DNP spectral line-shapes are temperature dependent. ► Both the solid effect (SE) and the cross effect (CE) mechanisms contribute. ► The SE contribution increases with decreasing temperature while the CE decreases.
