Preserving the excitation profile of small flip angle RF pulses in the presence of rapid transverse relaxation

► Transverse relaxation is incorporated into the linear response theory. ► Existing small flip angle pulses can be transformed to take into account of transverse relaxation. ► Numerical simulations were performed to demonstrate the new pulses.
