Broadband adiabatic inversion pulses for cross polarization in wideline solid-state NMR spectroscopy

► Frequency swept pulses are used here for CP during an adiabatic inversion. ► The CP process benefits from the broadband nature of the adiabatic inversion. ► S/N of broad static-sample NMR powder patterns can be enhanced with CP. ► An order of magnitude increase in CP bandwidth is demonstrated experimentally.
