Cell membrane water exchange effects in prostate DCE-MRI

► Prostate pharmacokinetic MRI data were modeled w. & w/o water exchange. ► Model parameter influence/correlation was investigated using real/simulated data. ► The model contrast agent extravasation rate difference detects malignancy. ► Gland anatomical zones show mean intracellular water molecule lifetime differences.
