High spatial resolution NMR imaging of polymer layers on metallic substrates

► We simulated the 1D NMR profiles in the presence of metallic substrates. ► The susceptibility effect is negligible in the strong field gradient. ► The eddy current in the metal plate dramatically affects the B1 field distribution. ► More RF power is needed to compensate the eddy current effect. ► Effect of Eddy current was quantified in this study.
