Measuring T2 and T1, and imaging T2 without spin echoes

► T2 is measured without spin-echoes using adiabatic pulses of two different lengths, τ. ► Dual-τ T2 measurements are validated using the Bloch equations and experimentally. ► T2 MRI, T2-weighted MRI and “T2-prep” are performed with a 0° adiabatic pre-pulse. ► Adding a third acquisition permits measurements of T1, T2, and signal intensity.
