Growth of side facets in InP nanowires: First-principles-based approach

► We investigate the growth modes of InP nanowires. ► Ab-initio-based approach which incorporates temperature and pressure is employed. ► {1-100} facets can be formed for high temperature and low P pressure. ► {11-20} facets can be formed for low temperature and high P pressure.
