Theoretical study of CO adsorption on the surface of BN, AlN, BP and AlP nanotubes

► Except the BN nanotubes, three other studied tubes can effectively adsorb the CO. ► The AlN nanotubes are the most favorable system toward the CO adsorption. ► CO adsorption doesn't sensibly change the HOMO/LUMO gap of the studied tubes.
