Surface morphology and electron transport correlation in thin iron films

► We study the magnetism and magnetotransport of thin Fe films deposited on Si. ► The morphologic characteristics of the films strongly influence their properties. ► The Fe stripes' orientation determines the resistive and magnetoresistive responses. ► Magnetoresistivity variations of up to 520% have been observed.
