► Value of Ω2 highest for LBMBPS1 glass. ► Intensity of transition 4G5/2→6H9/2>4G5/2→6H5/2 indicates asymmetric nature of the host. ► Value of βR of emission 4G5/2→6H7/2 is 65% indicating its lasing potentiality.
