LiCaTb5(BO3)6: A new magneto-optical crystal promising as Faraday rotator

A properly engineered new borate compound with composition equivalent to: LiCaTb5(BO3)6=16LiCaBO3+56TbBO3, shows 55% enhancement of Verdet constant over the widely used magneto-optical TGG crystal (Tb3Ga5O12) in the Faraday isolators.184
