Enhancement the Efficiency of ZnOnanofiber mats antibacterial Using Novel PVA/Ag nanoparticles

Silver (Ag) nanoparticles/ polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)/ zinc oxide (ZnO) nanofiber mats were synthesized by a simple, effective, high yield and low cost Electrospinning process which was used to prepare the introduced nanofiber thin films. The Ag nanoparticles/ PVA/ ZnOnanofiber were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy (UV-vis), and were used to study the morphology and diameter, chemical composition, and spectroscopy properties. The presented paper, we described a study of the immobilization of an antibacterial agent and its interaction with two types of bacterial colonies. The antibacterial efficiency was evaluated by using both Escherichia coli and Klebsiella Spp. bacteria. The results showed that the composite nanomaterial containing Ag nanoparticals/PVA exhibited better antibacterial efficiency compared to the polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) nanofibres. The nanofibre/nanoparticle displayed good antibacterial activity against a number of bacteria. The aim of the study is to assessthe applicability of the new composite nanomaterial in antibacterial filtration and various biomedical applications.
