The major merit of this paper is to determine a general and controllable methodology for rational design of LiFePO4/C nanocomposite materials with ultrafast lithium-storage ability by using polymer-rich amorphous FePO4·xH2O, typically a proper FePO4·xH2O/poly(furfuryl alcohol) nanocomposite achieved by a self-regulated in situ polymerization restriction method, in conjunction with a rapid wet-chemistry lithiation process (H+/Li+ ion exchange reaction), followed by direct calcination.334
