Alleviating structural degradation of nickel-rich cathode material by eliminating the surface Fm3¯m phase

In this work, the rock-salt Fm3¯m phase on the layered Ni-rich particle surface is inhibited to produce, forming a uniform layered R3¯m phase with a self-assembled concentration-gradient shell. This material reveals enhanced structural stability during cycling and the thermal stability is also greatly improved.224
