In this article, we have numerically analysed the effect of the concentration of solid nano particles Al2O3 and Cu in the base fluid, with the help of the successive over relaxation (SOR) method. Flow is considered through an annulus sector duct. The governing momentum and energy equations are transformed to non-dimensional form and discretized with the help of the finite volume method (FVM). The study is carried out for different values of concentration of nanoparticles, aspect angle and ratio of radii. It has been observed that the concentration of nano particles in a base fluid can be affected by the heat transfer rate. Further it is seen that an increase of the solid concentration of nanoparticles causes a decrease in the magnitude of the temperature due to reduction of the flow. A comparison of our study with the published data is also carried out.
