Electrical properties of polycrystalline and single crystalline nickel layer capped ZnO nanowires

Nickel functionalized zinc oxide nanowires synthesized using chemical vapor deposition and e-beam evaporation methods. Field-effect transistor characteristics of the core/shell structures investigated at room temperature. Single crystalline nickel layer capped zinc oxide nanowires exhibited significant physical and transistor characteristics than that of polycrystalline nickel capped zinc oxide nanowires.210
