Imbalance in leptin-adiponectin levels and leptin receptor expression as chief contributors to triple negative breast cancer progression in Northeast India

In conclusion, the present study is first of its kind on TNBC from northeast India, indicates that adipocytokines does play a role in TNBC pathogenesis. Thus, the understanding of molecular mechanisms of both leptin and adiponectin and their interplay in TNBC offer the prospects for new therapeutic approaches targeting similar signalling pathways.
